The song is politically driven, inspired by the ongoing wars in the Middle East and around the world. CEASEFIRE strays from the the traditional Rap styles usually heard from DJ Ron Nelson, as the song has an angry vocal tone during the verses while using Reggae patter for its chorus and last verse.
