Come along take a ride on the Fantastic Voyage

So many hours behind that wheel

Let go of that steering wheel ?

Numb fingers you can’t feel

You don’t wanna rob and steal

So many hours behind that wheel

Let go of that steering wheel ?

Numb fingers you can’t feel

You don’t wanna rob, you don’t wanna steal

Toronto winter long and cold

Summer’s not, sniff, cough a lot

Almost everybody smokes Pot

Inside this cultural melting pot

Home to Caucasians, Chinese

Europeans, South-East Asians

Blacks, Africans, Jamaicans

Filipinos, Latin Americans

Take time salute the Canadians

Arabians, Korean, Vietnamese

Japanese, Indian
First Nation, Aboriginals

Toronto’s ethnic make up’s original

Police can’t keep up with the criminals

I’m not being satirical, cynical

I’m being truthful, clinical

Please go listen to the news

Christians, Catholics, Muslim’s, Jews

They all got different views

We all got different views

Some might hate and discriminate

Aren’t we supposed to mate?

That opinion we can’t state

Nails scratch you off the slate

Straight, Black, white, queer

In T.O., there lots of room for that over here

Gay, bi, Rasta far-I

Homophonic and you’re wired

You get fired, cancel culture’s hired

For the most part

We’re all sisters, brothers

Come from the same mother

Live there together in harmony with one another

One hand to help the other

That’s life in Toronto

One love to the father

Are you listening my sister

Do you hear me my brother

Do you love me my mother?

Currently, the average rent for a one bedroom apartment in Toronto is over $2500. With the price of groceries also at an all time high, even high income earners are starting to  find the squeeze!

You heard what they said

Twenty-five hundred just for rent

You voted, you didn’t consent

Empty pockets, wonder where all the money went

But make no mistake about it

It’s hard to make it in Toronto

You have to work two jobs though

Just to keep your head above H20

That’s why I live in Scarborough

But it seems It don’t really matter

Still need twice as much dough

The wage they pay you is so low

Too hard to live there solo

Trying to squeeze me out of the T.O.

A million for a house condo?

Expensive to live in Toronto

Expensive to live in Toronto

I’m trying to make a plan

But I got blisters on my hand

Answers I don’t know, I don’t understand

Thought I voted for the man

They can’t make me stop

I’m not gonna drop

I’m aiming for the top

I’m like Sizzla, solid as a rock

Have to hustle to survive

In T.O. that’s no surprise

Crime is at an uprise

Nobody’s singing lullabies

Guess who runs the streets

Government,  Police

Babylon turn to thieves

Sell you that cannabis Ganja leaf

Toronto city, is it for the rich?

Life in the T-Dot?

Got your survival kit?

Toronto city

So hard to make it

You see an opportunity

You gotta go and take it

Don’t take shit, just make shit

Create  shit, innovate shit

Make money, progress

No regress, be the brightest

The city getting rough

Times getting tough

Get me out of these handcuffs

I said get me out of ….

Hey officer

Get your knee off my neck

Mommy there’re killing me

I can’t breathe

Hey officer

Get your knee off my neck

Mommy there’re killing me

I can’t breathe

Toronto city

The city of Toronto

I’m living in Toronto

Toronto city

The city of Toronto

I’m living in Toronto

You gotta be strong to survive in Toronto
