Michie Mee’s Scorpio Bash ‘Industry Style’, happening Sunday November 1st. NYC INVADES TORONTO once again with very special guests, The Queen – Roxanne Shante , Dj Lord Finesse, Dj Mo Betta (Michie Mee’s original dancer on First Priority Records) sure to rock the house + LIVE performance by Michie Mee ft Raggadeath and The DayAfter members + Special Invited Icons.

This will be a night sans generation gaps, where local artists; female emcee specifically, and both known & unknown up and coming yet locally established artist will get to perform before they hit the worldwide stage in front of Industry Icons & Execs. Showcase includes the lovely Lola Bunz, Keysha Freshh , Baby Grhyme , Little T , Dynesti Williams, SepTO , Dusty Wallace , Trae Deuce , Gee Wunder , Full Circle, and Tough Dumplin’ performing a very special Nefarius Tribute.

Joining in on this exciting night for Michie Mee and ALL Scorpio’s are a stella group of DJ’s ensuring the vibe will be felt as soon as you cross the threshold of Tattoo Queen West. Exclusive Dj line up includes Lindo P, Noble Works, Dj Starting From Scratch, Dj Mel Boogie, and Dj Shamann.

This party is also a tribute to all those who put in hard work that up to this day inspires many. Having Roxanne Shante here to me is absolutely awesome as she says she has never seen me perform before, which is true in our culture we don’t get to see other female emcee LIVE due to show limitations. Ive know Dj Finesse for years and worked with him in the past too, so having a stage with Dj Mo Betta aka Maurice should be a party Toronto music lovers will not forget. What a reunion!

There comes a time in your career when you realize nobody’s coming to save you so you gotta get up and just do it. A lot hasn’t changed here in terms of infrastructure and how it works with artists. There is some growth and I believe this new generation is eager to learn and improve the scene. I am grateful to still be involved in helping to elevate a world class City and its music. I learned a lot from local promoter Ron Nelson, who I’ve always admired, and from the Sunshine Sound crew days. I observed a lot while having great times and creating memories still lasting a lifetime!.

About Michie Mee: Michelle McCullock (Nov.1, 1970), better known by her stage name Michie Mee, is a Canadian rapper and actor. Canada’s first notable female MC, she is considered a national hip-hop pioneer.

About Roxanne Shante: Roxanne Shanté (born Lolita Shanté Gooden; November 9, 1969) is an American hip hop musician. Born and raised in the Queensbridge Projects of Queens, New York City, Shanté first gained attention through the Roxanne Wars and her association with the Juice Crew.

About Lord Finesse: Lord Finesse (born Robert Hall, Jr.; February 19, 1970) is a hip-hop artist and producer, from The Bronx, New York, best known as the leader of the D.I.T.C. crew. About.com ranked him number 29 on its list of the Top-50 Hip-Hop Producers.

About Raggadeath: Raggadeath was a Canadian rap metal band that enjoyed moderate success in the mid-1990s. The band fused heavy metal with dancehallreggae-style rhythms and vocals. Working out of Toronto, the band was influenced by many styles, including reggae, perhaps because of Toronto’s large Jamaican population. The band’s core members were producer Walter Sobczak, drummer Stephen Kendall and guitarists Steve Major and Darren Quinn of Monster Voodoo Machine. The band utilized a variety of vocalists, most notably rapper Michie Mee.
