GET ALONG from my 5th album BORN TO DIE from the 2022 “40 Years Too Late” series. I’ve just released a 2025 Mix which is now fortified by it’s own music video. 

I wrote GET ALONG and created the video for it because I like the song and believe in the message, but more importantly, as an important anti-war political statement. GET ALONG is an anti-war, anti-nuclear weapon statement, ‘We don’t want no war, we don’t want no war’ … ‘Can’t we just get along?’ … these are the hooks and chants. The song leaves most of the rapping near the end of the song, a bit non-traditional yes, as the songs main vocals were created using a Type-to-Speech App on my I-phone.

A special thanks to Scam for his awesome music and the other magic he worked to help get me content for the GET ALONG video. And big up DURU for his creative and innovative camera work. Thanks to Michael (Xodus) for keeping me inspired and, and to my first team of volunteers for the video that we tried yet had the shelf.

So what about grants, and what about future videos for DJ Ron Nelson? A producer-friend of mine who is a very blunt and direct critic, text me this comment after I let him see the video in advance;…”kinda looks like a school project…but one day you’ll be able to make a video with a producer, a director, lighting, a crew, etc. Part of growth means getting other people involved to do the things you can’t.”
