Chelsea Stewart is one of Canada’s hardest working independent artists. JUNO nominated, this talented writer, composer, producer, creative director and promoter, has already performed in Europe, Jamaica, and Africa. Chelsea recently released her eleven track self titled reggae album which combines Mento, Ska, Rock Steady, Reggae, and Dancehall. Two of her more popular tracks ‘Perfectly Lonely’, and ‘Forever Your Girl’, sport official full-length videos on YouTube.
Chelsea is blessed in many aspects. She is young, sexy, has great management, and fortunate to possess a unique, lovely voice, hard to describe, except maybe a combination of – sweet, nostalgic, innocent and re-incarnating. Her youthful, effortless vocals and smooth savvy stage presence creates the perfect one-two punch for anyone seeking beautifully written reggae love songs composed in modern reggae styles often with a renaissance feel.
As we venture into 2020, it’s clear to see that Chelsea Stewart is only getting better. All the hard work and worldly experience seems to be making her a better singer and song writer, but best of all, a better person as she transposes from an innocent young girl to a beautiful, passionate and mature woman, who no doubt has so much love to give.
Congratulations to Chelsea Stewart, getting the ReggaeMania.com 2019 ‘Top’s runner-up spot for ‘Top Canadian Female of 2019′.

This JUNO-nominated Canadian born songstress sings and performs with so much heart and soul. She was born blessed with innate lyrical and songwriting skills, and the ability to deliver good relatable pop-reggae songs, many focused on the emotions and feelings that come with the ups and downs of love. Listening to her music makes one appreciate why she is an evolving artist and supreme reggae lyricist. Still less than 10 years in the business, Tonya P is not only respected and admired by her peers and fellow artists, but she is frequently sought for to voice dub plates for local and international sound crews and systems.♦
When you meet him, you feel like you are meeting a star. This talented Jamaican Kingstonian was born Ricardo Rhoden, today, he is known as Eyesus, already established as Canada’s most talented, yet most underrated dancehall artist. Tall, dark skinned, and always moving, this artist has been described as a ‘natural’ – an energetic, vibrant, an on-stage dynamo.
♦
After moving to Canada in 2003, Eyesus, backed by his ‘US Squad’ and Smoke Shop Studios, has continued to up his game year after year. Today, the effervescent Eyesus sits good with his place in Toronto dancehall. He looks like he belongs in it, and he’s always positive, patient, and engaged with his fans. Unlike his fellow artist Exco Levi, Eyesus is self-identified as a dancehall dee-jay, not afraid to live inside the trenches and lyrically explore the dark side.
♦
When it comes to lingo and swagger, Eyesus has got it. His lyrical patter and performance potency potential is off-the-chain, as he sounds just as good live as he does in the studio. While searching for his own style, he is, presently, a combination of a wide range of lyrical styles, and when he wants to, can can pick from or emulate any style or patter that’s hot. Eyesus is a good story-teller, and the incorporation of satire, humour and sarcasm, are common denominators in his formula for song writing.
Tonya P’s list of popular songs include ‘Something’s Gotta Give’, ‘Take My Breath Away’, ‘What You Know About Love’, ‘Ease Your Pain’, and ‘Don’t Wanna Go’, all of which can be found on YouTube and Spotify along with other great material. I like the Tonya P sound, but I honestly believe that her best work is yet to come. In life, everything comes down to timing, and my hunch is that as good as she is now, she has still not yet hit prime time, and if that’s a fact, then reggae fans are in for a treat with lots more great Tonya Pmusic to look forward to in the future.

Congratulations to Tonya P, winner of our ReggaeMania.com ‘Tops’ Award for ‘Top Canadian Female Artist of 2019’.
