Each track on UNDACOVA is a cover version-not a sample flip or interpolation, but a full reinterpretation of previously released material spanning from 1943 to 1993. The selections reflect a bold and creative spirit, transforming the familiar into something completely fresh and original. This may be the first time a hip-hop artist has released a full album consisting entirely of rap and hip-hop covers. Original songs come from a wide range of artists across decades and genres: KRS-One, Louis Jordan – Joe Jackson, Pink Floyd, Run-DMC, Sexual Harassment – Egyptian Lover, Slick Rick, The B-52s, The Police, Tom Jones, and Twisted Sister.

Produced almost entirely by the fierce and wicked DJ SCAM, who crafted nine of the ten tracks, the album also features one song produced by the amazing DJ RON ALLEN. Though the exclusive rapper on the project, DJ RON NELSON also sings on a few tracks-admittingly, not as a polished vocalist, but with raw spirit and conviction that hip-hop uniquely allows.

Crafted with the skill of a seasoned writer, UNDACOVA will appeal to adults and those who’ve always appreciated inventive, thoughtful, and sonically rich hip-hop-an audience still out there and often underserved.
